Battery & Charging

The built-in lithium-polymer battery provides up to 20 hours of playback, although actual runtime varies according to volume level, music content and operating conditions.

The speaker takes approximately 4 hours to charge under the specified 5V/3A charging conditions.

Built-In Powerbank

The Charge 5 can also provide power to compatible USB devices through its USB port, allowing you to charge a smartphone or other suitable device while using the speaker. JBL specifies the USB output at 5V/2A maximum.

Waterproof & Outdoor Protection

The IP67 rating means the Charge 5 is designed to resist dust ingress and withstand immersion in water under the conditions defined by the IP67 standard.

This makes it suitable for:

• Poolside use
• Beach trips
• Camping
• Outdoor parties
• Picnics
• Travel
• Garden entertainment
• Outdoor work environments

Important: Waterproof protection does not mean the speaker should be deliberately submerged unnecessarily, and the charging port should be properly closed when exposed to water.
